Agilent Technologies Social Media Brand Standards

AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES ACTIVATED THE SCORCH TEAM TO DESIGN THEIR BRANDED YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND DEFINE THEIR CORPORATE SOCIAL MEDIA AND MOBILE BRAND STANDARDS.




 

 

 


OPPORTUNITY
Social media outlets such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest are increasingly becoming a relevant way for Agilent to connect and collaborate with customers. With available options for user customization, Agilent authorized social profiles and pages lacked a standardized brand aesthetic. These variations in design potentially threaten Agilent’s brand cohesion.

Scorch took the opportunity to develop a brand identity system that creates a unified cohesion across all Agilent digital brand assets.

STRATEGIC APPROACH
We added to the current identity system with the creation of “The Agilent Arc” and leveraged existing core identity design to develop an evolved Agilent brand approach to social media presence, mobile application icon and branded YouTube Channel.

RESULTS
By providing Agilent with clear design guidelines and  navigation through all relevant social platforms, the social and mobile presence are in unison with the brand.  Keeping these efforts in-line with standards clarifies communication on the social networks, and reinforces the equity Brand Managers have to work with.

In addition to the Social Media Standards, the Mobile Development Standards extended corporate controls to new mobile projects. These mobile standards define launch sequences, color palettes typography and button designs.
